Senior Director - Market Operations, Administration & Enablement
TIFF: The Market

The Senior Director, Market Operations, Administration & Enablement is responsible for operational excellence, strategic enablement, financial sustainability, and successful execution of TIFF: The Market. Acting as both the administrative and operational lead, the role supports the Market Head and leads across core enablement functions including financial planning, procurement, legal affairs, business systems, and cross-functional integration.
This senior leader drives operational governance, develops performance frameworks, and ensures continuity and accountability. The role oversees all Market production and vendor relationships, including venue logistics, AV, and outsourced event elements, with a focus on resilience planning, quality assurance, and attendee experience.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Leadership & Strategy Execution
• Translate the Head of Market’s vision into operational plans
• Lead governance and align resources with delivery goals
• Develop SOPs, evaluation tools, and performance monitoring
• Forecast risks and enable scenario planning
Market Operations & Production
• Lead outsourced and matrixed production models
• Oversee venues, event logistics, AV, and interactive production
• Manage partnerships with internal TIFF production leaders
• Ensure vendor delivery meets KPIs and SLAs
Financial Management & Sustainability
• Lead budgeting and forecasting for The Market
• Align financial planning with programming, sales, and digital strategy
• Report financial performance and ensure fiscal discipline
• Monitor costs, optimize spending, and explore revenue opportunities
Procurement & Business Affairs
• Lead all procurement and contracting processes
• Ensure compliance with TIFF standards and legal policies
• Oversee contract execution and dispute resolution
• Supervise leads across Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Operations
Program & Project Management
• Provide executive leadership to major Market projects
• Standardize project tracking and delivery frameworks
Crisis & Risk Management
• Act as decision-maker during administrative or production issues
