We are currently hiring for the position of:
RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATE
Reporting to the Supervisor of TIFF Shop, the Retail Sales Associate is responsible for servicing the Retail Shop and its customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory/Merchandising:
• Merchandise handling, restocking, organizing, folding, receiving and pricing
• Maintain cleanliness and appealing aesthetic of TIFF Shop
Operations:
• Greet, watch and engage with customers
• Demonstrate product knowledge and interact with customers around the Shop to meet their needs and drive sales
• Perform accurate transactions on POS system
• Open and closing duties as assigned
• Other duties as required
RATE OF PAY:
• $16.55/Hourly
TARGET CONTRACT DATES:
• August 13, 2024 - September 15, 2024
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent experience
• 2 years experience in retail and/or customer service position
system (Knowledge of Givex POS and/or Shopify is an asset)
• Previous cash handling experience
• Strong communication skills
• Takes direction well
• Excellent customer service
• Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Interest in film, non-profits, arts and culture is considered an asset
• Must be available to work all days of the Toronto International Film Festival
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
• This position requires being in office on a regular basis.
