TIFF, a vibrant cultural charity, is hiring for the position of:
PROJECT MANAGER
Reporting to the interim Senior Production & Operations Manager, Executive Office & Special Projects, the Project Manager will provide project management for campaigns and initiatives at TIFF, both for the Festival in September, as well as for year-round activities. This is a contract position.
Responsibilities
• Project Management - follow established methodology to effectively plan and manage projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholders
• Ensure effective delivery of project deliverables on-time and on-budget
• Facilitate effective meetings through action-oriented agendas, succinct notes, and clearly assigned actions
• Maintain clear channels of communication and ensure cross-project understanding of responsibilities and escalation protocols amongst all stakeholders
• Forecast, track and manage project budgets, POs and invoices
• Liaise with Production Manager on status of deliverables
• Liaise with outside vendors, as applicable
• Deliver project status updates to stakeholders and management
• Proactively communicate changes in project scope and potential obstacles, according to established escalation protocol
• Maintain clear project notes; at project conclusion analyze data to make recommendations for postmortem reports
• Support Special Projects team with admin tasks as required
• Attend cross-departmental check-ins as required
• Maintain productive and positive relationships with project team members and client departments
Minimum Requirements
• Minimum 3 years experience in Project Management or Campaign Management
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional product teams within budgetary and schedule constraints
• Demonstrated experience managing external & internal clients in addition to multiple third-party vendors
• Knowledge of Project Management & Business Management principles, methods and techniques
• Willingness to adapt to shifting priorities and circumstances
• Excellent communication skills
• Top-notch problem solving instincts and abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated skills and experience in mediation, negotiation, argumentation, presentation and conflict resolution
• Strong teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with project management software and methodologies
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
• Superior interpersonal skills and ability to deal with external partners in a professional manner
• Advanced technical skills including computer skills, graphics and print management, and digital media equipment and vocabulary
• Curious & Tenacious
