We are currently hiring for the position of:
MANAGER, MARKET SALES OPERATIONS
The Manager, Market Sales Operations plays a central role in strengthening TIFF: The Market’s commercial performance by ensuring sales teams are fully equipped with the tools, systems, insights, and operational support required to achieve revenue targets.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Market Sales & Partnerships, this role combines hands-on sales operations leadership with enablement, analytics, and account coordination. The position serves as the operational backbone of the Market sales function, supporting Relationship Managers and Sales Managers across regions while ensuring consistent processes, strong cross-functional alignment, and a high-quality client experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Enablement & Team Support
• Lead and coordinate sales enablement activities supporting Regional Relationship Managers across APAC, LATAM, Europe, and Middle East & Africa.
• Maintain sales tools, presentations, pitch decks, pricing guidelines, and collateral in coordination with internal teams to support Sales team
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing performance enablement for sales staff.
• Ensure Relationship Managers have timely access to market intelligence, client histories, and deal context.
• Manage sales enablement for market screenings, exhibition stands, promotional inventory, and on-site event sales, ensuring teams are equipped to maximize revenue opportunities before and during the Market.
• Support and oversee seasonal and contract sales staff, as required, to ensure effective sales execution during peak Market periods.
Sales Operations & Pipeline Management
• Track sales performance across exhibition stands, passes, promotional packages, partnerships, and sponsorships.
• Maintain accurate pipelines, forecasts, and revenue dashboards.
• Monitor targets versus achievement and support leadership with regular reporting.
• Ensure CRM accuracy, data hygiene, and systematic follow-ups.
Deal Support & Commercial Coordination
• Coordinate proposal development, RFP responses, and contract preparation.
• Support deal preparation by providing targets, historical data, and client insights.
• Serve as the primary liaison with Market Administration, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure smooth contracting and compliance.
• Facilitate efficient handoffs from sales to operations and delivery teams.
Market Intelligence & Research
• Conduct exhibitor, partner, and philanthropy research to support business development.
• Provide pre- and post-market sales intelligence, performance analysis, and opportunity mapping.
• Track competitive activity and emerging client segments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Act as the central coordination hub between Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, Programming, Delegate Experience, and Operations.
• Work closely with the Director, Delegate Experience to align pass sales reporting and operations with overall sales performance.
• Ensure consistent processes and communication across departments.
Reporting, Analytics & Performance Management
• Build and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and management reports.
• Provide actionable insights to leadership on risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
• Support multi-year revenue planning through data-driven analysis.
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
• Sales Enablement Impact: Equip sales teams with effective tools, training, and data to support target achievement.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure efficient, compliant, and timely sales processes from lead to contract.
• Pipeline Accuracy: Maintain reliable forecasting, reporting, and CRM data integrity.
• Cross-Team Alignment: Enable smooth coordination between commercial and operational functions.
• Accountability & Execution: Demonstrate strong ownership of timelines, reporting, and deliverables.
TARGET CONTRACT DATES:
• Immediate or upon availability
WORK LOCATION:
• Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5
• Weekly in-office requirements:
• Minimum 2 days (1st November – 30th April)
• Minimum 3 days (1st May – 31st October)
• Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Management, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in sales operations, business operations, enablement, or commercial support roles within media, events, technology, or creative industries.
• Proven experience supporting distributed or international sales teams.
• Strong knowledge of CRM systems, reporting tools, and pipeline management.
• Experience coordinating proposals, contracts, and cross-functional workflows.
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with a solutions-oriented approach.
