We are currently hiring for the position of:
COORDINATOR, INDUSTRY RELATIONS
Reporting to the Manager, Industry Services, the Coordinator, Industry Relations will be responsible for organizing Festival access for professionals representing films in Official Selection at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival. This will include the administration of accreditation for a film’s producers and sales agents as well as the negotiation and organization of ticket requests from the film’s primary rights holders for sales and promotional purposes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for sales agents and producers representing Official Selection titles, addressing inquiries related to Festival access and resources.
• Manage relationships with both international and domestic stakeholders, including high-profile clients and companies, to ensure a seamless Festival experience.
• Coordinate complimentary accreditation assignments for stakeholders representing Official Selection films.
• Work with the Industry Services team to compile data and produce complimentary passes for assigned stakeholders.
• Support ticket request negotiations in collaboration with the Senior Manager and Senior Director.
• Collect and log ticket requests from sales agents, producers, distributors, and streamers.
• Maintain an up-to-date record of ticket requests by film and stakeholder.
• Assist in collecting information regarding territorial rights availability for films in Official Selection.
• Coordinate with internal production teams to ensure stakeholder tickets are available before the Festival begins.
• Organize the distribution of Press & Industry Screening reports for assigned stakeholders.
• Provide exceptional customer service via email and phone.
• Manage the shared protocol ticketing communications inbox.
• Greet and assist professionals at the Protocol Office during the Festival, providing information and guidance as needed.
• Contribute to weekly team meetings regarding individual tasks and responsibilities.
• Provide a detailed post-mortem analysis.
JOB GRADE & SALARY:
• Job Grade 2
• $22.50-25 per hour commensurate with experience.
TARGET CONTRACT DATES:
• June 23- September 14, 2025
WORK LOCATION:
• Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5
• Weekly in-office requirements:
• Minimum 2 days (November to May)
• Minimum 3 days (June to October)
• Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Degree in arts management, administration or commerce considered an asset
• Minimum of 3 years experience working with staff and delegating responsibilities
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Canadian and International Industries with ability to demonstrate
• Working knowledge of domestic and international distribution, sales activities, national promotional agency networks, funding practices, co-productions and international film festivals and markets
• Exceptional business writing skills with attention to detail, including but not limited e-marketing, social media messaging and proposals.
• Demonstrative ability to listen to client feedback and adapt strategies for communication accordingly.
• Ability to speak foreign language considered an asset
• Ability to think critically and anticipate issues or opportunities and proactively propose solutions to address them.
• Ability to work well under pressure and make quick but informed decisions
• Strong accounting and financial acumen
• Ability to deliver feedback and service with a high level of tact and diplomacy when working with clients.
• Demonstrative accounting and negotiation experience required
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
• This position requires being in office on a regular basis.
