We are currently hiring for the position of:
INDUSTRY PROGRAMMING COORDINATOR
Reporting to the Industry Programming Manager, the Industry Programming Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support for the planning and execution of Filmmaker Lab, Telefilm Canada PITCH THIS!, Filmmaker Boot Camp and other Industry-related activities leading up to and during the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate production of Telefilm Canada PITCH THIS!
• Assist with outreach to Filmmaker Boot Camp participants and guest speakers.
• Coordinate volunteer needs for Filmmaker Lab and Telefilm Canada PITCH THIS!
• Coordinate networking events for Filmmaker Lab, Telefilm Canada PITCH THIS! and Filmmaker Boot Camp.
• Assist in execution of Filmmaker Lab where required.
• Update website content for Filmmaker Lab, Telefilm Canada PITCH THIS! and Filmmaker Boot Camp.
• Create and maintain records for Filmmaker Lab, Telefilm Canada PITCH THIS! and Filmmaker Boot Camp in Artifax database.
• Respond to general inquiries about Industry Programming via email and phone.
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners regarding production of Filmmaker Lab, Telefilm Canada PITCH THIS! and Filmmaker Boot Camp.
• Coordinate the short-listing process for Filmmaker Lab and Telefilm Canada PITCH THIS!
• Coordinate the production of the 2018 Talent Brochure.
Minimum Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the Canadian or international film industries.
• Strong familiarity with domestic and international filmmakers.
• Previous experience in a film festival environment a strong asset.
• Exceptionally strong administrative and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience in event production an asset.
• Quick thinker, good judgment and excellent multi-tasker.
• Knowledge of other languages (especially French) a definite asset.
• Excellent computer skills, with experience with G Suite applications.
• Previous experience with large databases an asset.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
