We are currently hiring for the position of:
AIRPORT GREETER SUPERVISOR (4 Positions)
Reporting to the Manager, Ground Transportation, the Airport Greeter Supervisor will oversee the guest arrivals at the airport, ensuring Festival guests connect with their designated ground transportation. This position oversees Volunteers and indirectly supervises Festival Drivers. This is a customer service role exclusively located at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure that all guests designated for pick up are greeted by a Volunteer, and escorted to their arranged ground transportation
• Dispatch Festival Drivers and hired limo/taxis from the airport
• Liaise with Manager, Ground Transportation and Coordinators to obtain daily airport transfer schedules, and disseminate information, changes, and delays to Volunteers and Festival Drivers
• Supervise the Volunteer Captains and all Volunteers working at the airport
• Execute the highest service standards, policies, and procedures for TIFF
• Provide a detailed post-mortem report
• Other duties as assigned
NOTE - this position may involve extended hours during the Festival, September 10th - 20th.
TARGET CONTRACT DATES:
• Monday, August 17 - Friday, September 25, 2025

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Education & Experience
• Experience in a high-level customer service role, with a focus in hospitality and/or tourism
• Experience supervising volunteers
• Previous experience with live, multi-day events (ex. Festivals, tournaments, expos, Games, etc.)
• Skills
• Ability to function as an effective team member, demonstrating initiative in a fast-paced, high volume environment, adapting to changing guest needs and managing competing priorities
• Effective and professional communicator and strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated mature judgment, patience, and discretion
• Ability to work with competing priorities, distractions, and interruptions
• Fluency in multiple languages considered an asset
• Knowledge of local traffic routes, roads, hotels, and international airports and airlines is an asset
• Effort
• Maintain focus, initiative, and positive attitude during busy periods, as well as periods of waiting
• Adhering to a predetermined airport transfer schedule, while ensuring ad-hoc and ASAP transfers are facilitated
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Reliable transportation to get to and from the airport each day
• Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Able to commit to mandatory training in August (TBD), and the operational Festival dates for Ground Transportation (September 9 - 20)

• Hours and Setting:
• Shifts will take place at Toronto Pearson International Airport during Festival
• Potential for long hours during Festival
• Strong weekend availability
• Strong flexibility for morning, afternoon, and evening
• Working in a very busy, crowded, sometimes loud open public area for several hours, mostly while standing
• Environmental hazards:
• Noise
• Interaction with many different individuals and groups arriving on incoming flights
• Dealing with difficult partners, festival attendees and other stakeholders
• May encounter groups of fans awaiting arriving talent
• Monotony:
• Job will go through very busy periods, and periods of waiting around and being on-site and ready
