We are currently hiring for the position of:
COORDINATOR, COMMUNITY IMPACT
Reporting to the Manager, Community Impact, the Coordinator supports and delivers community impact programming that promotes inclusion, social connection and creative empowerment among equity-deserving groups, with a priority towards BIPOC and LGBTQ communities, newcomers, and individuals with lived experience of mental health and social isolation challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Alongside Manager, Community Impact, implement annual Community Impact programming (screenings, talks, workshops) to increase accessibility to TIFF and promote inclusion, social connection and creative empowerment among equity-deserving groups
• Alongside Manager, Community Impact, collaborate with internal teams (Partnerships, Ticketing, Programming) and external stakeholders to design and implement Visa Sharing the Screen year-round and Festival Access initiatives, including film selection, ticket delivery and support across all community partners
• Support events by leading outreach and communication with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Communications, Social Media, Web, Corporate Partnerships, Loyalty) and supporting the Manager on communication with external stakeholders (guests, programming partners)
• Help develop programmes in consultation with new and existing community partners to reflect the specific goals, access needs, and experiences of each group
• Cultivate new and existing relationships with and between community partners, deepening engagement and increasing their access across TIFF through Community Memberships, Industry Passes, Underwritten Rentals, and networking events
• Support the Manager, Next Wave, on select Youth Impact initiatives, with special focus on the selection process for the TIFF Next Wave Committee, the Next Wave tags at the Festival and year-round events such as Open Screen
• Provide facilitation to support guests and audiences, including discussion moderation for screenings and talks, modification of workshop activities, and one-on-one support to encourage optimal participation
• Prepare programming resources (e.g., workshop templates, film discussion conversation arcs) for select events to support collaboration with guest artists, community partners, volunteers, and TIFF staff
• Coordinate grassroots outreach to connect existing and new community partners to Community Impact programming and low-barrier TIFF events
• Track feedback from community partners through surveys and provide impact reports to internal stakeholders as requested
• General administrative duties as part of the Community Impact portfolio, including: implementing critical paths, attending standing meetings, co-managing the Outreach email account inquiries, updating key dept. tracking documents, coordinate bookings of Community Impact events in TIFF’s event management system (Artifax), and working with internal teams (Web, Editorial, Film Office) to ensure visibility on tiff.net

• Job Grade 1
• $45,000-$57,000/Ann
