With that said, TODAY Digital is seeking an experienced social media professional to manage and execute day-to-day social media operations for the digital arm of the beloved TODAY broadcast

The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things social, news, pop culture and trending and have a data driven approach to sharing, creating, and distributing content across platforms. The Senior Social Media Editor must seamlessly switch between crafting compelling headlines and social posts to thinking strategically and creatively about how best to distribute, package and share TODAY digital and video content across a variety of platforms.

This editor will be tasked with leading the day-to-day social coverage and operations of TODAY's Social Media team, in addition to leading and inspiring innovation and creativity among the team, creating content that is native to each platform. A proven track record of leading creative teams, growing social audiences and creating native social content with an -analytics first approach is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of social media editors and producers
• Manage day-to-day operations of social media publishing and distribution
• Managing publishing across a variety of Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok accounts
• Perform A/B tests across platforms
• Edit headlines and video headlines for social optimization
• Create native content for social platforms, when applicable
• Execute and create social media plans for special projects
• Communicate and implement strategic initiatives alongside the Managing Editor of Social & Video Publishing

Qualifications/Requirements
â- 5 years of professional experience in social media and

audience development, with management experience
â- Significant experience with all major and emerging

social platforms
â- Significant experience with scheduling and publishing

programs
â- Substantial video producing and editing skills for social

media
â- Strong writing and copy-editing skills
â- Familiarity and comfort with working in digital and

broadcast news
â- Experience producing and editing video content for

social platforms
