Systems Administrator
Summary:
Systems Administrators are part of a team that is responsible for the deployment, configuration, monitoring, and upkeep of the studio's extensive compute infrastructure. The position also includes providing support to end-users. Systems Administrators report to the Director of Technology.
Essential Functions:
• Install, monitor, troubleshoot, and upgrade the studio's servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.
• Maintain and execute operating system bulk deployment technologies (eg. Windows ADK, PXE boot, kickstart).
• Maintain and execute OS-level configuration-management tools for Windows, Mac, and Linux (eg. Puppet or similar).
• Provide technical support (triage, troubleshooting, and resolution) for all Studio users.
• Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices, as well as hardware and software trends.
• Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
• At least 4 years of experience at a similar position.
• In-depth technical knowledge and experience with administering Windows, Mac, and Linux desktop and server machines.
• Excellent analysis, troubleshooting, and prioritization skills.
• Positive demeanor, with good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to learn new skills autonomously is required.
• Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple projects.
• Intermediate or better understanding of industry-standard security best practices.
• Intermediate or better knowledge of IPV4 networking. IPV6 knowledge a plus.
• Python or other scripting language experience is highly desired.
• Experience with any of the following is desired: Active Directory, Puppet, SonicWall, Cisco iOS and/or NX-OS, Oracle ZFS, VMWare , Google G Suite
• Familiarity with media post-production a plus.
