Position: Data Entry / Analysis
Department/Team: Tax Incentive Services
Direct Report to: Manager, Incentive Services
Position Purpose:
Data Entry/Analysis position is responsible for entering, auditing and preparing the financial documents/data required for the tax credit submission filing with the state. The Jr Analyst functions are similar to that of an Accounting Data Entry Clerk/ Accounting Assistant/ Bookkeeping Clerk.
Principal Responsibilities:
Review commercial filming production 'wrap binders' for completeness
Analyze documents and data received for completeness and accuracy
Convert binder documents into electronic workbooks by entry into Excel
Maintain and update electronic workbooks as additional data is received
Scan and save documents as directed
Communicate effectively regarding project data entry status, file status, and missing files or data
Combine and organize electronic files as directed for final tax credit submission
Generate various summary reports for the productions under review
Perform various other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Background in auditing, accounting, bookkeeping or production accounting
Minimum requirement of Associate degree, Bachelor's degree preferred
High level of proficiency with online communication tools and Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
Data entry accuracy and speed
Detail oriented
Excellent ability to organize and coordinate multiple tasks
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of accounting, auditing, bookkeeping or production accounting
High level proficiency using Excel spreadsheets, proficient computer skills and strong analytical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
Job Type: Full-time:
Rate: $20.00/hr. to start
Desired Experience:
Accounting, auditing, or bookkeeping: 1-2 year
Microsoft Office suite Applications: 1-2 year
Required education:
Associate degree. Bachelor's degree preferred.
