The Role
The Theorist team is looking for a Channel Manager to join our strategy team at the Raleigh, North Carolina headquarters. This person will be responsible for a range of channel management duties on YouTube, Twitch, and Spotify (including, but not limited to): thumbnail design management, analytic reporting, content packaging, video ideation, and final video and podcast QCs and uploads.
What You'll Do
-Create regular analytics and strategic reports in conjunction with the Director of Digital Strategy
-Work with Thumbnail Artists to finalize video thumbnails on a weekly basis
-Ideate and generate video concepts, thumbnails, and titles based on YouTube and Theorist best practices
-Coordinate and track delivery of final video and podcast versions from editors
-QC, upload, and schedule final videos podcasts with SEO-based meta data
-Work with large brands to fully realize sponsored content
-Provide reciprocal coverage for other team members across channels
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will combine a strategic mindset with creative thinking. They are able to think like and understand the YouTube algorithm, and also make decisions in the best interest of the audience. To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with and prepared to discuss the terms APV, AVD, CTR, and watch time in detail.
What You'll Bring
-2+ years of experience in project management, preferably for a YouTube, social media, production, or marketing company
-Eagerness to watch, study, learn, and educate others about YouTube on a daily basis
-Understanding and curiosity about what makes audiences click videos, particularly through proper packaging
-Strategic mindset with an ability to suggest improvements based on creative and analytical thinking
-Extensive knowledge of the YouTube platform, trends, and creators
-Strong understanding of YouTube Studio and Google Sheets to analyze data
-Knowledge in long-form video, short-form video, live streaming content, and podcasting
-Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
--Preferred software skills: Monday, Dropbox Replay, YouTube Studio, AI tools, Adobe Suite, and Google Suite.
Relocation to Raleigh, NC is a requirement for this position.
