The Will Cain Show is looking for a Booker with strong news instincts, great relationships, and a unique sense of what makes a compelling guest. You know the major players and the news cycle, but you're also looking for what's next - an emerging story, an unexpected angle, or a fresh voice. You are curious beyond the day's headlines and plugged into the conversations shaping politics, sports, entertainment, and culture. You connect the dots. You thrive under the intense deadlines of a daily live broadcast and have a strong drive to succeed.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Pitch and book high-profile, compelling guests
• Conduct pre-interviews and prepare research packets across a wide range of topics
• Build and maintain strong relationships with various contacts
• Collaborate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Bring creative, outside-the-box story ideas that make stories relevant and meaningful to a national audience
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• Experience in television production
• Strong writing, editorial judgment, communication, and research skills
• A sharp understanding of politics, breaking news, current events, and the cultural news cycle
• Social-media fluency and the ability to spot emerging news and booking opportunities
• Experience in a live control room a plus
• Familiarity of I-News, Viz, and Dalet

$67,000 - $90,000 /year USD
Final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location
