About the Role & Program
Do you have a passion for theatrical and streaming content and a curiosity about promoting brand awareness? Join our team to collaborate, contribute, and learn all about the exciting work of the marketing department at The Walt Disney Studios! This internship will focus on Global Marketing Partnerships, Promotions Sales & Synergy, Product Placement/Creative and Special Events with a strong emphasis on conventions (Comic-Con and D23).
Studio Promotions is responsible for delivering global partnerships for all Walt Disney Studios films. The Sales Team creates a strategic plan for each title and pitches external brands across multiple categories including paid media with extensive reach and creative excellence. Non-Broadcast Synergy delivers marketing events, stunts, activations and at all Disney Parks and Resorts, Disney Cruise Line, ShopDisney and Disney Stores, D23, Disney Music Group, and Disney Theatrical Group. Global Marketing Partnerships & Promotions Execution is responsible for managing each promotion campaign by leading and bringing to life all components of the promotional deal. The Product Placement and Creative aspects of Marketing Partnerships includes internal creative, production, and film integration agency for the partnerships team. Special Events is responsible for creating, producing, and organizing all the Studio premieres, convention panels, and marketing stunts.
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through early January 2026.
What You Will Do
• Assist with talent outreach, ticketing, will call operations, event guest service support, production support, after party activation ideas and overall planning and execution for on/offsite premiere events and conventions (Comic-Con and D23)
• Collaborate with sales leads on strategies for promotional vision for studio titles
• Ideate sponsorship activations, brainstorm incremental business opportunities, and pitches to new and existing promotional partners with the opportunity to co-pitch films as well as work with executives to develop promotion pitches for brands
• Present key market research on the latest trends
• Participate in contract reviews, digital brainstorms, creative reviews, approvals on programs and provide promotional program recaps
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Experience developing and/or communicating innovative and creative marketing ideas
• Experience with using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word
• Experience working in collaborative environments and managing multiple projects
• High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Experience handling confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience (academic or internship) in related industry
• Experience with using social media platforms as a marketing tool and/or business application
Education
• Junior or Senior year preferred
• Major or previous coursework in Marketing or related field
Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
• Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through early January 2026
• Fully available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week during a Monday through Sunday schedule (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor and could include nights, weekends and/or travel)
• Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, California area
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour.
