This position will be responsible for conducting concurrent audit engagements as a result of The Walt Disney Company's contractual reporting obligation to our participants. The position assists in the planning of audits, monitors fieldwork progress and communicates the results to senior management.
Responsibilities
Perform the daily accountabilities of conducting the audit fieldwork in an efficient and effective manner
Investigate, research and resolve potential issues impacting the contractual reporting obligation during the fieldwork of an audit engagement
Partner with various business units across the organization to expedite and support audit requests
Communicate directly with third party auditors; provide audit support to resolve potential issues
Respond to inquiries from both internal and external customers
Be an active team partner by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and suggest improvements
Basic Qualifications
CPA strongly desired (or in process)
3+ years of related auditing/accounting experience
Practical hands-on management experience working with the internal audit function of a reputable public company is highly desired
Strong understanding of accounting processes, procedures and internal controls
Strong analytical skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast paced environment
Must be detail oriented, able to work independently, and take ownership of their projects and work flow
Able to work in a flexible team environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written (must be able to tailor his/her communication style as the candidate will interface with employees of all levels)
Good organizational and strong project management skills
Entertainment industry experiences a plus
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
