We have an exciting opportunity for a QC Manager to join the team!
The QC Manager is responsible for managing an onsite team (12 direct reports), (up to 20 non-direct reports cross-trained to maximize staff) 3rd party QC resources (currently 3 vendors and expanding) to ensure worldwide releases for the Walt Disney Studio theatrical and in-home products meet Disney's quality standards and deliver on time. The job holder will manage planning, scheduling, budgeting, billing, resource management (people, rooms, equipment, software, etc.), training, metrics and specifications. They will partner with other lines of business and vendors to document and expand our cross-training program, which ensures team members across DDSS as well as 3rd parties. This will ensure any person QCing for Disney maintains our highest standards. They will also partner with engineering and clients to ensure all of the Disney QC facilities meet the business requirements and are properly maintained and enhanced.
They will partner across multiple lines of business to ensure all DDSS product is right the first time and help to improve quality through tighter controls, leveraging data and also partnering with the QC automation team to implement automated workflows that fit each unique business need across the Studio. This will enable them to improve quality and maximize resources to ensure we are investing the right amount into QC. Through effective management of this process the job holder will yield significant process improvement, build consensus, drive early quality planning and be a key contributor to successful implementation of stated management initiatives to improve quality and reduce time to market for Disney products along with delivering reliable, on-time, right first-time product. Job holder will drive value by looking for opportunity to partner across the Walt Disney Company in order to seek out efficiencies and assist in reducing similar QC tasks, where appropriate. Furthermore, this individual will manage a team responsible for accomplishing day to day QC tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
2 years managing teams responsible for Quality Management, Assurance, Control. In media. 2 years data analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3-5 years managing teams responsible for Quality Management, Assurance, Control in media. 3-5 years data analysis
• Lean Six Sigma belt placement & experience running ISO 9001 certified organizations
