Occupational Nurse Manager
Global Crisis Management's (GCM) mission is to collaborate with key business partners and customers to support all Disney (and its affiliates) employees in building, sustaining and improving Disney's capability to prepare for, respond to and recover from all hazards. The Disney Medical Department provides preventative and occupational care to employees, as well as, promote Global Crisis Management's mission of resiliency to individuals and the enterprise.
This position is responsible for the strategic operational, clinical, and medical educational functions of the Burbank Medical Clinic. Assists the Burbank Medical Clinic Nurse Manager. Ensures continuous managerial oversight of clinic during clinic opening hours. Implements programs that facilitate the development and management of medical staff. Functions independently and supervises clinical staff. Collaborates and supports other corporate partners (Production, Corporate, Marvel, ESPN, for example) to achieve the goals and objectives of the work area. Maintains skills of the staff to initiate and carry out clinical, procedural, and ethical discourse. Ensures that all policies/procedures are current and aligned with the highest medical/industry standards. Demonstrates commitment to the goals set within the Global Crisis Management Department.
Basic Qualifications:
• 3 Years Occupational Health or Public Health nursing experience.
• 3 years as a supervisor/manager in a related field.
• The Nursing Manager will oversee 1 FT Nurse (Union) and 2-3 DAILY hire Nurses (Union).
• Manager will undertake the following actions:
• Provide day-to-day supervision of clinical staff when primary nurse Manager is absent.
• Maintains clinical SOPs and protocols.
• Train or facilitate training for new clinical staff.
• Provide administrative support to the clinic Manager including attending meetings on behalf of the clinic Manager, the Director and/or Corporate Medical, providing guidance and support to business partners/productions, developing reports/presentations, etc.
• Fills in for clinical staff during staffing shortages or during emergency situations.
• CPR/BLS certification and must be a registered Nurse-State of California and in good standing.
• Must be receptive to working in other locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2-5 years nursing experience in Emergency medicine or Critical Care
• COHN certification
Required Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Preferred Education:
• Master degree in Nursing

The hiring range for this position in California is $92,742.00 - $124,410.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
