The Manager of Theatrical Audits is responsible for leading all external and internal Global Distribution theatrical audits and overseeing the team responsible for execution of audits. Present findings to external exhibitors and work through settlement scenarios and recommended go-forward policies to align with theatrical license agreements more accurately. Develop tools, models and related dashboards for future audit negotiations and sales decision making.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the exhibitor audit process to increase the level of additional film rentals. Oversee internal data initiatives to incorporate best practices within data collection.
• Analyze audited data and develop new sales strategies for negotiations, discussion documents, and film rental settlements. Lead audit negotiations with regional exhibitor partners and work to resolve future issues resulting from audit findings.
• Develop and manage relationships with Sales VPs and external exhibitors to present and resolve any issues with exhibitor audits and pricing policies
• Act as lead liaison with external auditing law firm Sargoy, Stein, Rosen and Shapiro in their role as auditor of many additional exhibitors and theatres.
Qualifications:
• 7-9 years of Accounting or relevant experience
• Strong math and analytical skills with advanced MS Excel skills
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of data science and complex data management (Tableau, SQL, Python)
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Preferred qualifications:
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Previous experience in Media
The hiring range for this position in CA is $112,012.00 - $150,260.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
