Coordinator, Corporate Social Responsibility (Disney Entertainment)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Coordinator to join our Disney Entertainment Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team. In this role, you will support and manage CSR efforts across Disney Entertainment (DE) and Disney Entertainment Television (DET), aligning with the broader CSR goals of The Walt Disney Company. The ideal candidate is a team player who is passionate about making a positive impact on both our business and the community. You will champion pro-social efforts and work on exciting initiatives including philanthropy and more. The coordinator will report to Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility.
In this role you will:
• Oversee Disney Entertainment Television's involvement in non-profit events and galas, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders and ensuring successful execution and attendee engagement.
• Facilitate Make-A-Wish wish granting for Disney Entertainment Television, working closely with Make-A-Wish and DET brands and teams to fulfill wishes for children with critical illnesses – including coordination with legal, talent relations, communications and production teams, as needed.
• Support DET-specific employee engagement initiatives through the Disney VoluntEARS program.
• Assist team with administrative tasks such as updating trackers for events, sensitive content, and consulting, as well as scheduling, preparing for meetings, taking notes, and handling other priority requests.
• Manage premiums and amenities strategy and distribution, including ordering, tracking, storage and fulfilment for events and tours.
• Support pro-social campaigns, screening requests and sensitive content review.
• Assist team with presentation decks, campaigns, events and other special projects as needed.
• Assist in the processing and tracking of all charitable cash and in-kind contributions for DE CSR, including liaising with nonprofit partners regarding events and auction requests.
• Support the vetting of charitable organizations to ensure they meet Disney's Giving Guidelines for any DET cash or in-kind support or mention/inclusion within DET content.
Required Qualifications
• 1+ years of professional experience with demonstrated success in corporate social responsibility, communications, or related roles in a nonprofit setting
• A vested interest in in social causes, sustainability, and/or philanthropy
• Experience in event logistics and coordination
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Self-starter – takes initiative, anticipates issues, and solves problems proactively
• Experience analyzing, reporting, and summarizing data as it pertains to the existing landscape
• Quick learner with boundless curiosity and a passion for delivering excellence.
• Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing multiple demands, and meeting deadlines; adept in fast-paced environments
• Handle confidential information with utmost discretion
• Competencies in Microsoft Office and Google suite, including presentation software
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in television or entertainment industry.
• Knowledge of communications channels, digital tools (intranets, social media, etc.), Cybergrants (Grant Management System) and project management platforms
• Event planning or coordination experience
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Experience with Smartsheet
Education Requirements
• B.A. in Corporate Social Responsibility, Communications, Nonprofit Administration, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
The hiring range for this position in California is $64,300.00 - $79,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
