About the Role & Team
Disney Direct-to-Consumer (DTC), Platform Distribution (PD), and Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology are business units within Disney Entertainment that manage the company's direct-to-consumer streaming brands (Disney+, Hulu, Hulu + Live TV, and the Disney Bundle), as well as all third-party media sales efforts for distribution, affiliate-related business operations for all of the company's DTC services and linear media networks, and content sales agreements for Disney Entertainment and ESPN.
The multi-disciplined communications team is seeking a Communications Coordinator who will be an integral part of the team, working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment to help manage all of the DTC and PD's broad range of communication activities and day-to-day operations. This includes supporting all external consumer-facing and internal communication efforts across a wide range of complex businesses such as the brand management and growth strategies for Disney's streaming services, DTC content performance/data and analytics, Hulu + Live TV, viewer experience, platform partner onboarding, consumer promotions, third-party content licensing, affiliate sales, and linear networks' distribution.

What You Will Do
• Monitor press stories (print, online, broadcast) across all lines of business, develop coverage reports with analyses, and handle distribution to key internal partners
• Manage media assets and respective press websites
• Research, draft, and proofread communications materials including press releases
• Support and help facilitate talent and production publicity requests for content licensed to third parties domestically and internationally including travel planning, itineraries, junkets, media events, and activations
• Assist with event coordination and business-driven industry events
• Contribute to internal comms initiatives including logistics for all team meetings and employee outreach efforts
• Process invoices and billing on behalf of the department
• Input and submit team expense reports
• Coordinate any necessary administrative support for department team members
Required Qualifications and Skills
• 1+ years of administration experience, preferably with a studio, streamer, network, or technology company
• Organized and meticulous with excellent time management skills
• Previous experience or work in communications and/or basic understanding of public/media relations, talent relations, technology, and the entertainment industry
• Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders, prioritize deadlines, and effectively work through challenges in a fast-paced environment
• Exhibits a positive attitude and a multi-tasking team player
• Highly motivated and organized teammate who is curious about all areas of our business
• Ability to handle confidential information
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity and knowledge of Disney's streaming brands and the company's streaming, television, theatrical and third-party licensed content. An overall appreciation for the Disney brand a plus!
Education
BA or BS required, preferably with a degree or emphasis in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.

The hiring range for this position in California is $65,705.00-$85,030.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
