About the Role & Program
We will be looking to fill 3 New York-based Disney Entertainment Finance Internships. By applying to this position, you will be considered for the opportunities below:
Direct-To-Consumer Tactical Opportunities Internship
Tactical Opportunities is a lean, strategic finance team concentrating on profitability and subscriber growth. On this team, you will support financial and subscription-based analyses to influence key decision-making across business operating partners. This role is heavily involved in subscription and operating income modeling across multiple products, with the opportunity to structure ambiguous problems and take action to solve them. You will build financial presentations for C-level executives, opportunity sizing requests, and pricing strategy and promotions planning for streaming to name a few.
Ad Sales Portfolio Analytics Internship
This diverse team leads the portfolio analytics for Ad Sales. This group is looking for an intern to support the various leaders in FP&A, operational expense, ad sales analytics, and strategy. You will evaluate the financial impact of new advertising products and capabilities, leverage data as a daily habit to elevate insights and trends, work within Excel modeling to help provide strategic ad sales Insights, and complete market research to identify key trends that will enlighten the five-year strategic plan.
ESPN Addressable Finance Internship
This opportunity is for the Ad Sales finance organization that monitors and forecasts ad sales revenue, specifically for the digital side of ESPN. They also work on special projects like ESPN Bet. You will research and review sales to establish viewership and how to price ads to forecast revenue of the addressable future (streaming). Passion for sports is a plus for this role!
Required Qualifications and Skills
• Inquisitive, driven, and eager to learn!
• Strong curiosity about Media and Entertainment.
• Technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in financial modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools (Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, etc.).
• Experience working with sales software i.e.: Sales Hub.
Education
Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Consumer Insights, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related quantitative STEM field of study.
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
• Must be currently enrolled as a junior or higher in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship (Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information
• This is an onsite internship based out of New York, NY.
• Program Dates: Approximately May/June 2024 through August 2024. Interns will work 40 hours per week and must be fully available throughout the internship.
• Must provide own housing for the duration of the internship. Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
