As an intern on this team, you will be supporting our dynamic and fast paced licensed apparel business.
What You Will Do
The Softlines Licensing Intern will work with top licensees to build outstanding fashion product, driving strategy to gain market share and improving floor space to increase revenue!
Responsibilities include:
• Researches and responds to licensee requests
• Attend meetings and distribute notes to category team
• Maintain and update buy boards
• Manage Box folders (including POS, on-order, pitches, franchise info)
• Serve as liaison for marketing approvals
• Maintain and distribute licensee lists
• Work with associate on PR/Social Media requests
• Collect information for business analysis including trend research, retail shopping visits/updates.
• Provide management support in the contract and amendment process when requested
• Prepares product presentations
• Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications and Skills
• Diligent and organized with the ability to manage multiple projects across a variety of franchises/brands at a time
• A self-starter that has experience problem solving with creative solutions
• A standout colleague with the ability to embrace a fast paced, committed environment
• Excellent computer literacy; experience using Keynote, Microsoft Office suite, etc.
Education
• Undergraduate students in their junior or senior year in (or recently graduated within the past six months) pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or other related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
• Be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
• Be aligned with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
• Ability to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
• This internship is a hybrid position and requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace
• The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through January 2025
• Ability to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) Monday - Friday, for the duration of the internship with possible evenings and weekends if necessary
• Must provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Orlando, FL area
• Must have reliable transportation to/from work
