Standards and Practices Associate (FX/Hulu)
Job Summary:
This role is located in Los Angeles, CA and will be required to be on-site 4x/week.
The purpose of this position is to ensure that all Standards and Practices guidelines and procedures are adhered to for FX Networks and Hulu content that airs on the channels and platform. The main function of this role is script review and analysis of original programming for FX & Hulu Scripted Originals (excluding ONYX Collective) & related international series and acquisitions.
This position requires prior S&P experience or relevant exposure, as well as an understanding of societal and cultural sensitivities. The primary responsibility is to read scripts and screen cuts, deciding programming acceptability for various audience types and ages, provide written notes at all stages of production and assign V-Chip ratings. Due to an increased volume of programming, candidates must be able to manage multiple projects while meeting various deadlines for clients.
Based on the needs of the department you may also be assigned duties and specialized projects not listed above.
Responsibilities:
• Screen and issue notes for all programming content that may include excessive violence, unacceptable language, sexually explicit material, imitable behavior, commercial product placement and graphic visuals that might be unacceptable for distribution.
• Assign an appropriate V-Chip rating and/or advisory to the programs.
• Elevate larger issues to the S&P senior leaders.
• Maintain positive working relationship with all parties involved in creating and producing programming that is platform acceptable.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Standards & Practices or comparable (network/content) experience. (If no direct experience, background must include exposure to Standards & Practices.)
• Excellent verbal, written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant experience within a corporate environment.
• Computer proficiency in a PC environment and Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
• Able to prioritize, work efficiently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to handle difficult situations and/or people interactions diplomatically.
• Ability to separate one's personal beliefs and interests as to apply the company's guidelines and policies to applicable content.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $69,600.00 to $ 85,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
