About the Role & Program Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) focuses on enterprise social impact strategies and supports The Walt Disney Company's (TWDC) goal of being among the most admired companies in the world. CSR drives enterprise-wide philanthropy, community, and consumer engagement efforts that help bring to life the social impact strategy of the company. Our group collaborates closely with all the businesses and regions of TWDC to ensure the company's social impact initiatives create value for society and our brands.
At Disney, volunteerism is a central and enduring part of our company's culture and at the heart of our community engagement efforts. Our employees and cast members are passionate, active citizens in their local communities and around the world, contributing their time and talents to causes they care about. Our team is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing the company's employee engagement (Disney VoluntEARS) program, key campaigns and events across the enterprise. This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Burbank, CA area from January 2026 - June 2026.
What You Will Do As a CSR intern, you will be an integral part of our team. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of activities and projects that make a meaningful impact. Every day is different as a CSR Intern, but the responsibilities you can expect to fulfill are:
• Assist in the planning and execution of volunteer activations that support our employees, Cast Members and Disney guests.
• Play a crucial role in coordinating volunteer campaigns and events that make a positive difference in the communities Disney serves.
• Attend brainstorming meetings and contribute innovative ideas for events and storytelling opportunities that align with Disney's social impact goals.
• Provide on-the-ground support during the execution of large-scale live events, ensuring the success of these significant initiatives.
• Interact with both internal and external stakeholders, including nonprofit organizations, to foster collaboration and strengthen Disney's social impact efforts.
• Assist in developing, updating, and organizing essential project/event planning documents, including agendas, milestones, itineraries, tracking grids, presentations and more.
• Share creative ideas and insights to help the team continually grow, improve efficiency and enhance collaboration.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Capability to work on multiple projects in a positive, proactive manner
• Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
• Passion for making a positive impact on communities and society
• Creative mindset and a willingness to think outside the box
• Proficiency in MAC Operating System and Microsoft Office Suite
• Graphic design experience / Adobe Creative Suite
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with CSR principles or related coursework
• Experience in volunteering or engagement with nonprofit organizations and events
• Project management experience
• A personal vehicle is recommended for this role, as the intern will need to be able and willing to travel locally as needed.
Education
• Junior or Senior year preferred
• Major or previous coursework in Business, Communications, Social Sciences or closely related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship -
• Be at least 18 years of age -
• Possess unrestricted work authorization -
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
Additional Information:
• Candidates must be available to work full-time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship, during normal business hours.
• This internship is an on-site position, but also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace for the days you may work from home.
• Able to provide your own housing and reliable transportation for the duration of the internship program
