Part Time Unpaid Internship
Job Summary:
The Programs Coordinator Intern is responsible for assisting in the coordination, logistics, and execution of programs and events specific to talent acquisition and community/organization outreach and engagement inclusive of conference sponsorship's, organizational partnerships, meetups, company developed events, and our flagship programs including an enterprise-wide technology summer immersion program.
The role requires the ability to effectively coordinate the administrative and logistical efforts of executing large-scale events and activities while partnering with multiple stakeholders inclusive of talent acquisition leadership, technology business leadership, communications, public relations, enterprise social responsibility, diversity and inclusion, marketing, among others. Keen attention to detail, resourcefulness, and the ability to navigate through ambiguity are critical to this role.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the coordination and execution of large scale, high visibility events in partnership with talent acquisition and other key stakeholders
• Handle administrative needs and logistics required to deliver upon key projects and event execution
• Create and maintain documentation of department processes as it relates to event planning and execution
• Collaborate with key players across multiple business units and company segments to manage deliverables
• Conduct industry market and trends research for the purposes of intelligence briefings
• Utilize social media platforms and other tools to uncover potential talent pools
• Track expenses associated with all engagements
• Prepare detailed event briefs and recaps as needed
• Other duties as required
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience assisting with the execution of projects and events with multiple stakeholders
• Demonstrated high level of attention to detail
• Experience working towards and meeting multiple deadlines
• Demonstrated experience in building relationships and fostering collaboration
• Demonstrated experience in event planning and/or logistics
• Experience in tracking expenses and managing a budget
• High proficiency using Microsoft Office products inclusive of Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint along with G-Suite
• Proficiency in using design software such as Adobe Photoshop and/or web-based design tools
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience in a Disney Professional Internship
• Demonstrated interest in technology and technological advancement
• Demonstrated passion for Diversity & Inclusion as well as Enterprise Social Responsibility
Preferred Education
• Recent graduate in, or pursuing a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Computer Science or related fields
Additional Information:
• Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
• Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from January 2020 to June 2020.
• Availability: Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
• Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program.
• Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
