About the Role & Team
This is an intermediate level position requiring an innovative and driven analyst capable of adapting to and learning TV Participations. Senior Contract Reporting Analysts are expected to have a strong understanding, or aptitude to learn the area of specialization. An ideal candidate would be able solve complex problems, work independently with minimal guidance, and act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
What You Will Do
The Sr Contract Reporting Analyst position is mainly responsible preparing and analyzing accounting statements for certain investors, artists (actors, writers, producers, or publishers), and/or rights holders. The position analyzes and deciphers account data to accurately prepare statements in connection with the company's third party reporting obligations.
• Provide talent reporting by analyzing deal terms as outlined in negotiated agreements
• Handle and support the integrity and development of third-party reporting through front-of-house system queries and reconciliations to the general ledger
• Advanced reporting review and analysis of high-profile titles to ensure output and payment adhere to contractual terms
• Prepare contract briefs by analyzing deal terms as outlined in individually negotiated agreements
• Assist in the statements reviewing process, as needed
• Work closely with various finance/accounting teams to ensure deal points and accounting-related issues and questions affecting participation accounting are identified and resolved
• Reconciliation of payments to the general ledger and Ultimate projections by title
• Support various levels of management on ad hoc projects as required
• Communication with all business and legal units to ensure data requirements are delivered in an accurate and timely manner
• System testing and implementation of new process improvements
• Provide support and assist with ad hoc requests/special projects for team objectives
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business administration required
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of participations, residuals, and key talent deal terms
• Strong understanding of talent/distribution agreements
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Strong understanding of accounting and operating processes of assigned client organizations
• Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
• Capable of working in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Entertainment industry experience a plus

The hiring range for this position in California is $84,600.00 to $103,400.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
