This is a Full Time Job
Lead the development and oversee the delivery of creative, strategic, integrated communications campaigns and activations that support business priorities and drive impact. Drive relevancy and recall of CPGP with target audiences. Responsible for motivating and inspiring team to execute communications activity with excellence through coaching and guidance.
Partner effectively with key stakeholders across marketing, commercial and other communications teams to ensure activity is fully leveraged across the business and the region. Build relationships and collaboration with key licensee and retail partners and identify new ways of working to support business growth.
Identify synergy opportunities with lines of business to boost campaign reach. Collaborate closely with the global CPGP communications team to lead global campaign beats from EMEA as needed and share region's best practice.
Oversee and guide business response to issues, ensuring protection of brand reputation.
Areas of Responsibility
Communication Activity Planning and Delivery
• In partnership with Communications Director and other senior business stakeholders, understand strategic priorities and identify areas with growth potential to inform the development of innovative communications campaigns, thus driving business
• Develop integrated campaigns that deliver against brand commercialisation team objectives (brand playbooks) and support commercial and regional/market needs
• Demonstrate analytical approach to success metrics; lead review activation performance and outline key learnings to improve future activity
• Proactively build clear communications plan across short, medium and long term, ensuring alignment with key markets
• In partnership with Communications Director, identify and establish working teams to deliver campaign/activation execution. Ensure teams feel motivated, have tools and adequate support to meet goals, and where necessary, play a role in day-to-day
• Identify need for third-party agencies to support with activity; oversee development of brief as necessary; lead pitches and negotiate costs working with procurement and legal
• Support managers in the team to strengthen day-to-day relationship with external agencies; guide them on delivering the best results and ensure appropriate service levels/value for money
Corporate Communications
• Monitor brand landscape for potential issues and work closely with CPGP issues management team to develop crisis communication plans, draft statements, etc. as needed
General
• Build relationships and collaboration with key licensee and retail partners and identify new ways of working to support business growth
• Maintain excellent media relationships (both consumer and corporate) and liaise with senior journalists to deliver on message coverage and manage the media agenda as appropriate
• Keep up-to-date on PR industry and media landscape and be able to identify strategic PR and event opportunities
• Monitor brand landscape for potential issues and work closely with issues management team to develop crisis communication plans, draft statements, etc.
• Responsible for effectively managing defined budgets
Team Leadership and Management
• Responsible for developing a positive team culture and a high-performing, highly engaged communications team
• Lead team through ambiguity and change – consistently engaging with, developing and influencing teams effectively to build strong collaborative environment
• Lead through the team to build, develop and retain best-in-class communications talent
• Lead meetings with key teams, actively participate in meetings, presentations and brainstorming sessions to cultivate creative ideas and PR opportunities
Training and Professional Development
• Operate with integrity, champion change and be a good ambassador for CPGP and the wider Walt Disney Company
• Operate as part of an effective team, demonstrating an awareness of others, offering support, sharing knowledge and best practises and contributing to the overall achievement of departmental commitments
• Take ownership of your professional development through regular career conversations with your line manager and utilising available resources through D Learn, the OTS (organisation and talent solutions) online hub, instructor-led courses and on-the-job learning
• Proactively suggest ways to improve departmental performance and processes
• Proactively build network within Disney to develop broader knowledge of the business and benefit communications planning
• Manage the training and development of all direct reports ensuring commitments are set, regularly reviewed, and feedback shared where applicable
• Contribute to maintaining and enhancing the standard of training and development being given and encouraging participation so that everyone has the tools and resources to do their role effectively and efficiently

Experience and Professional Qualifications Required
• Degree level education in a related field or equivalent work experience at senior manager level within consumer products commercialisation and/or retail marketing/PR
• Proven track record of personally delivering press coverage across entertainment, lifestyle, business and news outlets
• A strong understanding of digital/social marketing
• Proven experience planning, executing and evaluating innovative marketing campaigns
• Proven experience of leading, developing, and managing the performance of a team
• Proven experience of building effective relationships, leading and managing change and collaboration across departments
• A strong network of global contacts with TWDC (if applicable)
