Job Summary:
The Talent and Development Solutions team within the Corporate segment works tirelessly to reimagine ways to make Disney an exceptional place to work. We help provide career-enhancing experiences and opportunities focused on enabling our people to develop and thrive in their roles, building inclusive teams and identifying and eliminating barriers to a great work environment.
Responsibilities:
Talent Management
• Support efforts to create a culture of career so that employees can grow, develop and move across the company - continuously creating new opportunities for employees to gain exposure, capabilities, and experience.
• Develop a robust and scalable employee onboarding program that addresses new hires' first 90 days and also as employees transition to new stages of their career.
• Continue efforts to foster a culture of quality conversations to ensure employees are continuously giving and receiving feedback, having ongoing career discussions to maximize their performance and potential.
• Support the development of succession plans and targeted development plans for successors and other high potential talent.
• Leverage talent management efforts to increase our diverse representation and inclusion efforts.
Learning & Development
• On-going identification and assessment of needs and prioritization of learning needs for employees across the Corporate segment at all levels
• Develop or tailor learning programs targeted at specific audiences to build knowledge, skills and capabilities.
• Develop content and course materials and facilitate courses for managerial and professional audiences on a wide range of topics
• Design or provide additional tools and resources that support development beyond formal training, which may include relationship or on-the-job experiences and resources that drive development and transfer of learning for practical application
• Assess team effectiveness and design/facilitate team work sessions to enhance team performance and relationships
• Assist with learning development, delivery, and logistics within Corporate and across the company.
Other
• Be knowledgeable about talent and learning products, services and initiatives, and serve as point of contact for HR Business Partners, leaders and employees in specific businesses or geographies.
• Apply talent and learning theory/models, leverage or benchmark best practices/trends, and maintain knowledge of cutting-edge approaches in order to deliver performance-based solutions that drive measurable, lasting impact.
• Manage the employee engagement survey and action planning process, helping HR Business Partners and leaders refine talent and development strategies in meaningful and informed ways
• Partner with People Insights to leverage workforce data and survey results in a way that aligns with the Corporate people strategy
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience in consulting, talent management, learning and development, and/or organizational development
• Certification in individual or team assessments
• Experience with instructional design and content development, including a deep understanding of customization for various learning styles and mediums
• Strong business acumen and a track record of successfully partnering with HR and business leaders
• Ability to project manage, drive work to deadlines, engage stakeholders and follow up on outstanding items
• Proven ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple demands
• Team player and strong collaborator both within Talent & Development Solutions team, across Corporate HR and across the enterprise
• Ability to create effective partnerships at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and storytelling skills; must be capable of communicating information to diverse audiences
• High degrees of initiative and creativity
• Highly professional demeanor and diplomatic skills.
• Service orientation and ability to apply a consumer mindset to everything you do
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, consulting and problem-solving skills and ability to tailor solutions to meet the needs of diverse businesses and learners
• Able to take multiple and complex inputs and concepts and distill into simple, relevant and executable strategies that are relevant, pragmatic, easy-to-execute and drive impact
• Proven experience consulting (contracting, needs analysis, and action planning) and tailoring the approach to meet the needs of clients
• Ability to apply a variety of learning approaches that span formal training, relationship-based, and experience-based development
• Ability to facilitate highly complex, dynamic and interactive content while adapting approach and style to a variety of audiences and learning preferences
• The position will support businesses located around the world and minimal travel may be required to consult, facilitate or execute core strategies and client work.
Required Education
BA/BS or equivalent experience in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Communications, or related field required
