Job Summary:
About the Role & Team
We are looking for an outstanding Manager of Project Financials who will lead the team responsible for managing and supporting finance-related deliverables for Enterprise Technology projects and programs. In this role, you will partner closely with Program Management Office (PMO) and Demand Management & Resource Allocation (DMRA) leadership, technology budget owners, and Finance teams to support detailed project and program financials.
Functions include financial budgeting/planning, supporting actuals and forecasting, financial tracking based on project plans, commitments, and contracts/SOWs, and providing timely/actionable reporting. You will also act as a project/program controller for one or more complex, strategic projects/programs across multiple pillars, help develop and grow best practices, and focus on evolving our use of financial reporting tools and processes.

What You Will Do
Responsibilities
include:
• Lead day-to-day financial management of project/program/portfolio to meet financial targets and timelines
• Lead and facilitate weekly stand-ups with the Finance and project controller team
• Lead monthly financial review meetings with project leaders to ensure forecasts are accurate and reflected accurately
• Provide project/program/portfolio updates, clearly articulate variances, and outline the cause of change to executive leaders (e.g. Steering Committee, Pillar Reviews, etc.)
• Own the project financial tracker (Excel workbook) tools and templates (PowerPoint)
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Demand Management teams, to ensure Business Operations artifacts (i.e. master project financial calendar, confluence pages, training materials, etc.) are up to date
• Consult with, and advise the project/program manager regarding financial tracking to commitments, project budget, and actual spend
• Assist in budget/planning, actuals, forecast, and contingency process for both capital and operational expenses
• Review proforma for projects/programs before routing for final approval
• Ownership & refinement of current project financials training program/curriculum
• Partner with project managers and Finance to prepare monthly/quarterly/year-end deliverables (i.e. re-classes and accruals)
• Prepare supporting documentation (cause of change, variance explanations, etc.) and presentations for leadership as needed
• Serve as a thought partner on project accounting/finance process improvements
• Provide analysis of financial data to identify key project issues and ensure the integrity of reporting
• Manage and develop direct reports
Required Qualificationsand Skills
• 5+ years of Project Controller (Sr. Financial Analyst) experience in technology managing programs and project controls (e.g. cost, schedule, performance), financial reporting, analysis, and planning during the project lifecycle
• 1+ years managing direct reports
• Experience managing multiple project financials, priorities, and tasks across multiple projects and teams – while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality
• Experience with preparing detailed project/program forecasts, managing project forecast processes, and conducting project review meetings
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel - ability to perform vlookups, pivot tables, and other Excel formulas
• SAP experience - pulling reports, exporting data, and performing data analysis
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and time management skills; with the ability to effectively communicate with executive leadership
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to achieve business results
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Clarity PPM
• Experience working for a large and matrixed organization
• Project management skills (PMI Certification or equivalent a plus)
Education
Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Technology and/or a related field

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $112,012 to $150,260 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
