About the Role & Team
The Walt Disney World Litigation Department provides legal advice to Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc. and Disney Cruise Line regarding a wide range of lawsuits and other legal issues. This Paralegal will principally manage various litigation-related and adjacent administrative tasks.

What You Will Do
• Evaluate new lawsuits, supervising document retention and coordinating case assignments.
• Support in revising written discovery and pleadings for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and internal business areas to gather documents and information to meet court deadlines.
• Support in the preparation, assistance, monitoring, and reporting on trials.
• Draft case correspondence.
• Attend to administrative responsibilities of the Department.
• Manage case calendars and deadlines.
• Coordinate company responses to third-party subpoenas.
• May facilitate company responses to court ordered legal processes such as UCC liens and employee wage garnishments
• May coordinate company responses to consumer and government agency correspondence.
• May review and respond to consumer letters regarding intellectual property.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• 2+ years' experience in a law firm or in-house legal department focused on litigation;
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience providing paralegal services in personal injury litigation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to perform efficiently in fast paced environment.
• Ability to effectively interact with various levels of the corporation.
• Ability to manage and coordinate case calendars and meet deadlines.
Education
• A Bachelor's Degree and/or qualifications to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association and/or any applicable state codes.
