About the Role & Team
The Walt Disney Company's Legal Affairs team, which supports Disney Entertainment Television, News & Networks Group, is seeking an experienced executive assistant to provide support for its Deputy Chief Counsel and handle the administrative needs of six (6) Legal Affairs attorneys on the team.
This role is based in New York City and we are currently working 4 days in the office and 1 day (Friday) remote.
What You Will Do
• Conduct a wide range of word processing tasks, such as converting formats, formatting, running comparisons of documents and working with the NetDocuments contract database
• Obtain and compile signatures via Docusign
• Create and maintain reports including attendance records and vacation schedules for team
• Schedule meetings and maintain executive calendars in Outlook
• Create, organize and maintain electronic files and databases
• Book travel, prepare and submit expense reports and vendor invoices and track reimbursements/payments
• Assist with the on-boarding of new employees on the team
• General office duties including photocopying, faxing, scanning, filing, ordering office supplies and inputting attorney weekly time entries
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Legal secretarial background with a minimum of 3 years legal secretarial experience, preferably in the transactional practice of a large law firm or multi-national corporate legal department (experience in Television Legal Affairs and/or Business Affairs is preferred)
• Advanced working knowledge of computers including current versions of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Docusign, Net Documents, and SAP preferred
• Familiarity with contracts is required
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint helpful
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; understands deadlines and effectively prioritizes to meet them; good multitasker
• Detail-oriented and strong proofreading skills
• Discreet with confidential and highly sensitive information and documentation
• Self-starter with the ability to be proactive, resourceful and flexible; Ability to work autonomously
• Professional demeanor and strong people skills including ability to work effectively as part of a team
Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent
The hiring range for this position in New York is $68,400 to $91,700 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
