Global Travel is able to manage and execute complex travel processes with an emphasis on exceptional customer service while generating significant cost savings for the Company. We coordinate and manage individual and group travel arrangements for all corporate travelers in accordance with the guidelines of the Walt Disney Company's Travel & Entertainment policy.
Global Travel & Expense Management delivers optimal services and safe travel while effectively managing overall costs within the framework of The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) Policies. We continually build positive relationships with employees & partners and enable cost effective and flexible business travel that propels business performance. Global Travel & Expense Management delivers expertise and technology services for all travelers on behalf of TWDC. Global Travel ensures cost efficiencies by optimizing the Company's preferred global travel supplier network.
What You Will Do
The Global Travel Operations Director is the liaison between the company and the Travel Management Companies (TMC). They are required to oversee and administer corporate travel policies while driving change in fundamental business practices, developing management strategies, ensuring traveler safety and risk management tools are followed. They must also monitor funds of unused tickets, soft dollars, identify gaps in technology and services and solve these challenges on a day-to-day basis to enable a smooth operation.
• Partner w/international TMC to ensure operational efficiency is seamless
• Responsible for the oversight of all global TMC to ensure proper staffing/service levels are met. People leader for total of 130 Amex/GB Amex/GBT employees.
• Holds key partnerships with Legal, Risk Mgmt, GSCC, ESPN and Global Mobility to ensure operational efficiency and interacts in the event occurrences happen out of the norm
• Collaborate with DWSS CTA team for creation of CTA/CMC cards for Studios/Productions along with reconciliation tool
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and respond in a quickly and proactive manner
• Special projects such as Profiles conversion, Group & Events, and over 400 LIVE Productions
• Staying abreast of booking technologies-GDS, Sabre, supplier programs and other travel technologies. Pursue new ideas & technologies that will enhance travel operations/experience
• Define travel operational requirements, ensuring policy compliance along with validating quality control standards while continually developing/implementing/ key cost saving initiatives and process improvements
• Coordinate & interact with preferred vendors along with Global Security Crisis Center to disseminate applicable information for those traveling along with maintaining relationship between Disney lines of business' and global TMC's/ensure negotiated rates are utilized for air, hotel & ground
• 24/7 Operational liaison between Disney Studio Productions, ESPN, ABC News and TMC's to ensure efficiency, quality & saving, ensuring proper plans followed to cover crisis situations
• Industry Board member with various airlines, car companies, member of Global Business Travel Association
• ARC Administration
Required Qualifications and Skills
• 5-10+ years in Airline/Corporate Travel Business
• Customer Satisfaction experience
• Special trade Airline trade school-Travel and Tourism
• Airline School/Travel & Tourism along with Hospitality
• Excellent written communication skills including the ability to succinctly convey relevant information across multiple levels of the organization
• Confidently project a professional image that cultivates relationship building and collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
• Sabre GDS or equivalent knowledge of all functionalities (reservations and ticketing helpful)
• Airline /Corporate Travel Experience
• Online program such as Concur/GetThere
• Cvent
• Tripit/TripBam or equivalent
• Groundspan/Deem
• Sabre GDS or equivalent knowledge

Education
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, etc.
