About the Role & Team

The Receivables and Controls team partners daily with all the Receivables departments and Financial Reporting teams to acquire and provide information on the health of receivables across the organization, evaluate and implement operational controls, and monitor the timely collection of Foreign Withholding Tax receipts. Additionally, the team provides support to multiple internal partners on the invoicing of miscellaneous accounts.

The efforts of the team contribute to the overall support that the receivables team provides to guests and clients for the lines of business. Come be part of this dynamic team!

What You Will Do

As the Financial Accounting Manager, you will lead the review of receivables accounts and their balances for reasonableness. Coordinate the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations across receivable accounts. Lead all aspects of and report variance explanations on the receivables accounts fluctuations over predefined periods facilitating the analysis with the different teams.
• Support the receivables reporting for internal and external partners.
• Supervise the integration of the status of the receivables accounts for their presentation to executives.
• Facilitate the integration, analysis, and reporting of department metrics.
• Acquire answers to financial reporting inquiries on the receivable balances.
• Processes and approves journal entries for accruals and reclassifications.
• Coordinate the invoicing of miscellaneous billings across partners.
• Provide expertise on the recording of transactions in accordance with US GAAP, policies, and internal procedures.
• Facilitate the collection and documentation of Foreign Withholding taxes across Disney Experiences accounts supported by the Credit to Cash organization.
• Assist other departments in their process documentation efforts.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency in the department.
• Establish and manages relationships with leaders, cast, partners, and guests.
• Monitor the testing and remediation of receivable controls for the receivable areas.

Required Qualificationsand Skills
• 7+ years of working in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience leading improvement initiatives/projects.
• Solid Understanding of general accounting and internal controls.
• Ability to prepare and present information to support decision-making.
• Strong analytical and writing skills and the ability to communicate (verbal and written).
• Establish and develop effective relationships with internal and external partners.
• Ability to integrate and present operational and financial information and reasons to leadership and executives.
• Ability to describe problems, identify root causes, and implement short and long-term solutions.
• Experience identifying and maintaining department operational metrics.
• Proficiency in MS Office with an emphasis on Excel.
• Capability to lead multiple initiatives and prioritize.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in accounts receivables.
• CPA

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area.
