Job Summary:
The Education Programs team is responsible for the development, management, and continuous improvement of Disney Aspire and the salaried education reimbursement program. This includes setting and implementing strategy for education programs within The Walt Disney Company, and collaborating with key internal and external partners to lead and administer the programs.
Leverage project management tools and processes for all components of the education programs work. Manage day-to-day operations of these tools and processes. Act as a critical communication point for program team and key internal partners, including Communications, People Insights, Workforce Technology, Finance, and HR, as well as external partners. Coordinate status updates/reports, gather and surface issues for resolution to project leadership, and follow up on the completion of deliverables aligned with the project's objectives, budget and timeline. Manage the master project plan and timeline, coordinating with partners as needed. Provide advance notice of critical milestones, deadlines, and communication needs to project leadership.
Responsibilities:
• Managing the overall project plan/timeline, including tracking progress toward project deliverables and supporting relationships with key partners
• Organizing and maintaining meeting structure, providing meeting recaps, and following up on outstanding items
• Overseeing and advising on issue escalation and resolution
• Leading process development, implementation, and continuous improvement of project management tools, processes, and templates appropriate for the project
• Ensuring project documentation and knowledge management
• Preparing status updates/reports and maintaining project documents, including but not limited to:
• Project timelines and action items, including identifying timeline risks
• Various status reports for various levels within the company
• Meeting agendas and follow-up
• Gathering project tasks, confirming task ownership, and holding task owners responsible for completion
• Interacting and maintaining relationship with key partners in communications, HR, and other departments to manage the work related to program
• Maintaining a program team schedule and calendar of business process lifecycles, key company and business events
Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years' experience in project management role
• Strong project management experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, integrated team environment with frequently changing priorities
• Ability to move work forward through ambiguity
• Ability to follow tasks through to completion and keep team informed on progress
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proven strong experience in MS Excel and all MS Office Products
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strong relationships; strong partnering skills
• Proven capability to work with clients at all levels across business units
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, decision making skills and continuous improvement process skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated business acumen and business planning skills
• Demonstrated capability in vendor management
• Proven ability to influence clients at all levels across business units
• Demonstrated strong presentation skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including feedback and coaching
• PMI Certification
Required Education
B.A. or B.S. in Project Management, Business, or related field
