About Global HR Operations
Global HR Operations (GHRO) leads the strategic direction and consolidation of HR services across Disney's businesses and includes regional HRIS and Org Management practices. It is a centralized team that manages the employee services aspects of the entire employee life cycle through service centres, and on-line support sites. Driving contemporary on-line employee services and machine learning driven processing are key components to the GHRO business strategy.
Purpose of the Role
The Director GHRO EMEA provides operational strategy, leadership and direction to the operational teams across EMEA including Disneyland Paris (DLP). This position will lead the GHRO team within our European markets in handling all employee life cycle inquiries, transactions, Leave Management, Org Management and HRIS strategies. A key deliverable is continuing to bring in more operational practices from HR functions to provide a central point of service for the Walt Disney Company employees. This role will operationalize that work across the region and partner with other GHRO leaders worldwide to achieve a thoughtful approach towards a global solution.
Responsibilities
Strategy and Analytics
• Using a metric and analytically driven approach to drive continuous efficiency improvements and cost containment, while at the same time responding to changes in the business.
• Working directly with IT, ER, Payroll, Legal and the HR functional areas to drive strategies targeted to make the employee experience easier, more nimble and contemporary.
Team Leadership
• Serves as a leader on the Global HR Operations Executive team providing strategic direction and assumes responsibility for executing key enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Articulates and champions the Global HR Operations strategy.
• Sets annual performance goals and objectives for the team in alignment with Global HR Operations strategy.
• Drives flexibility and continuity in the staffing model allowing for enhanced employee performance, growth and work environment satisfaction.
Client and Stakeholder Management
• Partner with Country Heads of HR, executive steering teams and functional areas.
• Governance management regarding the Service Level Agreements.
• Partner with Communications and the HR Community to develop the communication and marketing strategy to ensure adoption and evolution the Global HR Operations Services and improvements in the employee lifecycle.
• Partner with Legal and local/regional HR to drive innovation in keeping up with the ever-changing employment laws.
Ideal Experience
• 5-10 years leadership experience in a consumer/employee facing operation, (international experience preferred).
• Proven experience leading initiatives across multiple business units.
• Ability to effectively lead and support multi-track teams while collaborating to deliver quality services on time.
• Ability to identify and understand complex issues and drive to resolution.
• Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook.
• Ability to design and implement analytical applications to support a service operation's needs for reporting such as productivity, service excellence and compliance.
• Experience in developing a service delivery strategy to meet consumer and/or employee needs and applying robust measurement and reporting infrastructure.
• Proven analytical, quantitative and financial analysis skills.
• Proven experience in data compliance and process enhancement.
• Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.
This role will require you to be on-site in Hammersmith 4 days a week.
