D&I Project Specialist (PH)
Job Summary:
The Diversity and Inclusion team serves as a center of excellence for the enterprise, leading the development of D&I business strategy, partnering with leadership across lines of business and global markets, providing subject matter expertise on relevant inclusion practices, and enhancing our inclusion brand both inside and outside the company.
Reporting to the Manager, Diversity & Inclusion - CULTURE, this role will support multiple Enterprise D&I initiatives, and work with key strategic HR partners at Enterprise and Business Segment levels. This role spans all dimensions of diversity, identity and/or interests for colleagues across U.S. and around the world. Position will primarily focus on (1) providing support to the Global Business Employee Resource Groups (BERGs) Framework (2) managing multiple tactical cross-BERG efforts and events company-wide, and (3) assiting with programming requests from four Enterprise BERGs (i.e., The Bond, Pride, Salute, Women @Disney) based in Burbank, Glendale and Los Angeles areas.
Responsibilities:
• Execute plans associated with Global BERG Framework Strategy
• Assist with the development of tools (presentation materials, collateral, etc.) for the Global BERG Framework including the integration of employee resource groups
• Support the Manager, D&I Culture with planning and hosting of the global BERG integration sessions across LOB's and dimensions of diversity
• Assist with coordination of post-meeting action items of the global BERG integration sessions
• Help maintain key stakeholders abreast of information throughout the Global BERG Integration Phase
• Manage and monitor projects, provide progress updates to Manager as well as Enterprise and Segment D&I stakeholders and advise on adjustments necessary to ensure the successful completion
• Administer requests from D&I Segment partners company-wide seeking for resources and strategic direction in partnership with Manager, D&I Culture
• Plan and host biweekly meetings with Enterprise BERGs co-leads (The Bond, Disney Pride, Salute, Women @Disney) to facitiliate and support activation processes (i.e. June Pride Month Events)
• Manage BERG requests for event communication support in partnership with D&I Comms team
• Secure resources (i.e. live streaming, presentations materials, collateral, BERG invoicing) needed for BERG activations
• Support Enterprise D&I internal employee activation efforts and seek out opportunities to amplify awareness in partnership with D&I segment partners
• Assist with the discovery and implementation of tools to facilitate BERG operations. (i.e. intranet/BERG webpages, BERG software solutions, etc.)
• Partner with D&I Market Manager to implement programs around Heritage Month activations and industry conferences
Basic Qualifications:
• 2-4 years of experience in Diversity & Inclusion, Human Resources
• 2-4 years of experience, human resources or corporate communications role or applicable segment supporting large-scale, multi-business employee resource groups
• Proven project management and partnership skills
• Assertive professional with the ability to navigate complex matrix organization
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
• Strong organization and communication skills
• High capacity and proven ability to manage multiple projects and complex timelines
• Ability to influence and communicate at all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated creativity and solution oriented thinking
• Strong experience with PowerPoint, Keynote, Excel, Word, Outlook
• Event planning and employee engagement activation planning
Preferred Qualifications:
• HR Knowledge and experience within multiple business segments
• Prior experience managing Employee Resource Groups
• Project managing Diversity & Inclusion and Employee Resource Groups activations
• Operation of Employee Resource Groups (a Chapter-based Management system)
• Project management skills are and knowledge in software are a plus
Required Education
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, HR or other related field
Preferred Education
• Master's degree in a related field
