We are looking for a Coordinator to join our Intellectual Property team. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced team that protects and advises on the company's Intellectual Property matters around the world. What You Will Do
• Assisting Disney's Trademark Group with all aspects of trademark registration matters
• Researching, documenting, and preparing evidence for all types of trademark matters
• Recordkeeping, data entry, docketing, and database maintenance
• Reviewing and proofreading legal documents
• Generating reports using internal and external databases
• Coordinating the processing of documents, e.g., for legalization, etc.
• Assisting with other unique trademark-related projects
• Providing administrative back-up support, as needed from time to time
Required Qualifications and Skills
• At least 2 years of legal experience (Intellectual Property experience is a plus)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong research skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Superior organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize workload
• Ability to handle a high volume of deadline-intensive work
• Strong follow-up and follow-through skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with all levels, both internal and external
• Experience with working effectively in a collaborative team-environment
• Self-starter with an excellent work ethic and commitment to professionalism
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite, OneDrive, Adobe, database software, billing software, document management software, and Internet research skills
• Ability to recognize and eliminate inefficiencies and promote continuous improvement
• Willingness to learn and use new research materials and practice tools
Education
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
• Paralegal certificate preferred
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $57,900.00 to $77,500.00per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
