Job Summary:
This position reports to Manager, TWDC Store.
The qualified candidate must be able to provide outstanding Guest Service, communicate effectively, generate sales, merchandise product, process deliveries of new merchandise, restock product, maintain good store visuals, keep an organized storage room, and support the store management team by implementing new retail and marketing strategies to help grow the business.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
• Supervise daily operations, ensure employees deliver on guest service expectations.
• Create weekly schedules and manage request off calendar for staff. Review workload and adjust coverage as needed to support special projects and product delivery.
• Review staff performance and offer constructive feedback.
• Assist the Senior Buyer with the purchase or re-order of inventory based on current trends, availability of new products and guest interest.
• Manage inventory levels and processes: product deliveries, product invoices, loss prevention and promotions.
• Provide direction on floor sets, ensuring displays and product flow are set to visual standards.
• Maintain a neat and organized Store, on stage and backstage so that product is clearly represented and available for replenishment.
• Create and utilize marketing tools to promote the services available at the store to all employees. Maintain signage, ensuring all information listed is accurate and make changes as needed.
• Monitor sale trends and provide sales and activity reports to the leadership team during their weekly updates.
• Achieve financial and productivity goals, as agreed with the leadership team, through appropriate actions and use of Guest Service behaviors.
• Interact with guests/employees and resolve complaints or grievances.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of retail experience
• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of post-secondary education will be considered a plus.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (40 lbs or more) from time to time as required.
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
• Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.
• Excellent communication and organization skills. Ability to troubleshoot problems regarding products, services, or other general information of interest to guests.
• Excellent analytical and observation skills to maintain high standards of the daily store operations.
• Sound knowledge about sales and marketing strategies
• Creativity to think up new plans to increase the productivity of the store. A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new trends.
• Computer literacy: Microsoft 365 products (Outlook, Word, Excel), POS systems, Video calls (Zoom), messaging systems (Slack, Teams).
• Experience with visual merchandising and displays.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once effectively.
• Experience in working with a budget and making sound business decisions.
• Interaction with peers and all levels of the company , customer service, managing associate staff and some scheduling.
