Job Summary:
FOX Networks Group is seeking a Programme Planner to maximise the ratings and reputation of our General Entertainment channel, FOX. The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record in scheduling and a creative approach to planning and programming strategy. This role is a permanent opportunity based in Hammersmith, London.
Responsibilities:

Schedules & Airtime
• Prepare programme schedules from scratch, including the daily updates and back- up programmes, and input into BSS
• Generate creative scheduling solutions to the channel needs
• Work creatively with Department Head, Scheduling team and Programming team to develop both short and long term schedule strategy, including production of 6 month detailed forward plan and 12 month long-term plan with future stunts and events
• Contribute to the maintenance of all stunts and events calendars, showing notable upcoming events and competitors programming launches (e.g. sporting, entertainment, film launches, anniversaries etc) to aid in scheduling decisions
• Work with Department Head to plan the catch-up, box set quotas for the platforms, and responsibility for delivering these to our affiliate services through planning and completing metadata
• Ensure the accurate data input of programme plans
• Manage the channels programme stock to effectively use the product and track run count
• Maintain an up to date Stock List
• Input all acquisitions into BSS
• Create a monthly Affiliate Sideloading file and update after each amendment
• Run a monthly Entertainment highlights meeting
• Work with Department Head, Marketing and Creative, Sky Media Planner, regarding Fox monthly commissioning priorities
Rating Performance & Competitor Analysis
• Monitor performance of the channel, study ratings and make changes to the schedule where necessary to achieve maximum ratings for all UK channels
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor channel initiatives, key strengths and weaknesses
• Work closely with Research on monitoring ratings, and prepare and circulate VOD monthly ratings reports
Rights/Delivery to Platforms & Affiliate Relationships
• Maintain strong affiliate relationships with platforms
• Work with Department Head to ensure that the rights purchased match contractual obligations of the platforms: catch-up, box sets etc. across the FOX channel.
• Understand how platforms deliver content and work with our operations and compliance team accordingly.
Qualifications
and Experience
• Proven track record within a planning strategy function
• Experience of using broadcast research to formulate a planning strategy in a multi-channel environment
• An understanding of how platforms work and deliver content to customers
• A passion for and knowledge of entertainment with a particular focus on US content in the UK marketplace
• Knowledge of transmission and editorial policies and guidelines, e.g. Ofcom.
