Production Accountant, Regional & UK
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Production Accountant to facilitate the efficient financial management across operational procedures and production of marketing promotions, and multi-platform content, to the required budgets and deadlines.
Key attributes for this role include a financial background demonstrating strong numeric and communication skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to forward plan, cost report efficiently and advise on financial guidelines & regulations. The Production Accountant will be a strong team player, unflappable under pressure, able to work to tight deadlines and possess the ability to prioritise across multiple projects hitting budgetary deadlines in particular AOP, quarter close & year end.
Responsibilities:
• Planning & reporting against the financial AOP alongside the Production Manager
• Assist Production Management/ Director, Business & legal Affairs and Finance Teams with effective financial control and co-management of budgets across production.
• Provide regular cost reports & up to date forecasts as well as advice on cost reduction & utilization of funds
• Ensure that accurate provision of accruals and commitments are made throughout the production lifecycle
• Manage financial accounts and ensure all outstanding claims are settled
• Prepare cost reports & end of period reports with Production Managers and attend regular review meetings with the finance teams
• Track and overview any cross charges across LOB's
• Analyse 3rd party budgets along with the Production Managers
• Prepare booking forms, TCC hire forms and approve IQN reports when required
• Responsible to ensure all cost managers are accurate and up to date on the shared drive
• Responsible for ensuring all SAP activity is accurate and correct (including download reports)
• Advise production partners on company financial guidelines
• Ensure procurement rules and best practice is followed across the production team
• Assist with on-boarding new members and providing financial training when required
• Ensure all expenses are entered and approved within a timely manner and all T&E spend is compliant
• Create Production Accountant Guides
Basic Qualifications:
• Substantial, proven financial experience within production, ideally a multi- feed, with a focus on European Markets
• Strong financial background or qualification
• In depth knowledge of SAP & Excel
• Budgeting and scheduling experience to the highest level
• Up to date knowledge of financial laws and regulations
• Good understanding of production
• Exceptional time management & project management/organisational abilities
• Capable of working well under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Exceptional communication & people skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to comprehend complex financial and legal documents
