The role of Senior Publicist on the Targeted Marketing & Field Publicity Team is an exciting opportunity within our overall Global Publicity Team.
The Targeted Marketing and Field PR team are responsible for the overall field directives for all branded content theatrical and platform releases (Walt Disney Studios, 20th Century Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel, Disney , Hulu). They are responsible for developing and executing field publicity strategy, word-of-mouth screening programs, working with filmmakers and talent om behalf of press tours, screenings & reviews, press coverage, regional stunted events and more.
This role will report directly to the VP, Targeted Marketing
This is a Union 600 Position, covered by a collective bargaining agreement
Responsibilities:
• Primary liaison for targeted and field initiatives on select Studio and Disney titles
• Daily maintenance and communication of targeted niche agencies (faith, family, sports) on all titles
• Daily oversight and direction from Director on team
• Create and oversee satellite tours
• PA Tour Lead (select travel involved)
• Primary point of contact for field TV/Print/Online Press communication (in coordination with Director and field agencies)
• Support Director on film festival logistics
• Create field talent schedules (in coordination with admin)
• Screening Program Execution: anti-piracy security, making agencies aware security guidance
• Alamo Drafthouse programs
• Create directives on all titles and distribute to field agencies
• Co-lead weekly agency meetings
• In coordination with Jr. Publicist, maintain accurate charts on behalf of screenings, experiential activations, and regional activations
• Work closely with Multicultural PR Director on screening programs and regional press screenings
• Create budgets for PA Tours, festivals, screening programs and regional special events
• Act as a liaison to Disney Canada and Disney Puerto Rico field press communication, press days and other activities including talent tours
• Identify first of its kind regional event opportunities
• Work closely with the internal Digital Marketing and Global Promotions teams on behalf of screening programs and regional activities
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in field publicity and field marketing
• Experience in executing extensive word of mouth screening programs
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong interpersonal skills to assure successful interaction with executives and business contacts
• Detail oriented with superior organization skills
• Established regional press relationships
• Creative mindset
• Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
