The Storied Group, a boutique entertainment and lifestyle PR firm, is seeking a new team member to support our growing roster. We are passionate about creative people and beautiful spaces: actors, creative entrepreneurs, interior designers, and luxury hospitality. Our headquarters are based in the charming neighborhood of Larchmont Village in Los Angeles. We are a hard-working, collaborative, and supportive office that enjoys seeking out hot new lunch spots, trading must-read books, and keeping up with current trends from travel to celebrity news. As a Junior Publicist, you will report directly to the CEO, supporting some of the agency's highest-profile accounts.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Pitch and secure top tier media opportunities across entertainment, lifestyle, and hospitality
-Coordinate logistics for client interviews and photo shoots
-Interface with clients as needed at photo shoots, red carpet events, and meetings as necessary
-Monitor media outlets for client placements and industry news
-Contribute to story angle development, strategic partnership ideas, as well as influencer and strategic partnership outreach
-Provide updates on client status regularly
-Compile media lists
-Provide some administrative support to the CEO
QUALIFICATIONS
-Minimum 1-2 years at a PR agency (while internships are great, we are looking for someone with at least a year beyond an internship) with a proven record of securing press coverage for either entertainment talent or luxury hospitality clients.
-Experience pitching people (as opposed to products). This can include actors, personalities, experts, chefs, entrepreneurs, or hoteliers.
-A broad range of knowledge across strategic communications including media relations, influencer outreach, strategic partnerships and social media
-A proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently
-A positive, problem-solving attitude
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented department
-Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
-Creative thinker and resourceful under pressure
-Enjoys networking and wants to grow in the public relations industry
BA degree required. A degree in Communications, Media or other related field a plus.
