ROLE OVERVIEW:
The SpringHill lifestyle brand is seeking an experienced, creative, detail-oriented shooter/editor with a specialty in long-form content who will be responsible for editing, shooting on occasion, and leading post-production on several long-form shows and occasional short-form social videos across the SpringHill brand. The ideal candidate puts the unique style of long-form digital editorial content creation first in order to empower our unique style of storytelling. The candidate must also understand the social landscape, and will occasionally be tasked with leading post-production for short and long-form social content. You must be comfortable on set, shooting, and editing video. They have a strong passion for and understanding of all things entertainment - music, fashion, art, film, TV, etc - and can combine their passion and insights with brand strategy to influence opportunities that enable SpringHill to connect and engage with our audience. This team produces a lot of content at a quick pace, so the ability to juggle various projects at once is key. The individual that excels in the role thrives in working in a fast-paced, nimble environment and loves being a jack of all trades alongside a highly collaborative cross-functional team of strategists, creatives, and editors.
REPORTS TO:
Director of Social dotted into Creative Producer / Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Shoot and edit long-form content, trailers, on-air promos, social media content, and other assets across multiple platforms
• Create and/or oversee retagged and resized assets as needed to ensure creative consistency across all platforms throughout the lifespan of a campaign
• Assist in the preparation for the production of live-action shoots
• Work with creative producers on small-scale shoots (example: 2 cameras, in-studio off-site) including identifying shot list, and setting up cameras and lighting, when necessary
• Create quick compelling edits that are optimized for the platform the content will live on
• Edit multiple video formats from raw footage to the final product in a way that is native to the intended platform.
• Proficiency in creating content for all major social platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and awareness of emerging trends and platforms.
• Brainstorm and produce new content types and templates
• Work against project due dates to deliver as needed
• Advise on cultural and social media trends, best practices, and more to inform the creative direction of our content and brands
• Work with the producers and post-production teams to QC all projects publishing to our platforms to ensure all content fits the overall creative tone, look, feel, and voice for each franchise and/or branded partner requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5 years of studio, digital, and/or freelance experience editor
• A portfolio of work that displays proficiency in editing, motion, storytelling
• Proficiency in using Adobe Premiere editing software
• Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and ability to navigate graphic toolkits and apply them to edits
• Extensive knowledge of the internet and culture is a must
• Experience in lighting and sound capture techniques is a plus
• Experience creating original and engaging content for Instagram, Twitter & TikTok (preferably for brands and/or for significant personal following)
• Creative thinker who can identify emerging trends and bend them to a brand voice
• Deep knowledge of multicultural entertainment, film, TV, music, and fashion
• Flexible and adaptable in the ever-changing digital landscape, ability to work nights and weekends when needed
• A positive attitude, excellent editing skills, a creative mindset, and leadership qualities.
• Self-starter who is assertive, enthusiastic, and highly motivated
• Must be able to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• A strong understanding of content creation for social media platforms including best practices, specs, and execution
• Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills when working across teams
• Experience in using different types of camera bodies and lenses
$100 - $100 a year
