ABOUT THE ROBOT COMPANY:
Hardwired with the SpringHill mission of empowerment, The Robot Company is a brand consultancy. At its core, it is programmed to support our partners through advertising and marketing that spans campaigns, content, social, public relations and experiences, both physical and virtual. The Robot Company is based in New York City.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The SpringHill Company is seeking a brand strategy intern for 10 weeks to support Robot's strategy team. You'll work with a team of strategists to collaborate with creatives, producers, and brand directors to deliver provocative and effective work for both internal and external clients. Dive into everything from sports and gaming to art and fashion with a team of nerds who are fully immersed in the culture. This is an opportunity to learn the discipline of brand strategy, create brilliant work for some of the world's best brands, and get exposure to the agency/consultancy model from our unique position within an entertainment company.
REPORTS TO: Senior Strategist
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Learn and assist with research into cultural, consumer, and market trends
• Learn and assist with writing and editing strategic narratives and insights
• Ask questions and provide constructive feedback on strategic and creative ideas
• Support the strategy team with day-to-day tasks and projects
• Keep the team informed on the trends, conversations, and news stories dominating culture
• Be you – add your fresh and unique POV to our insights and ideas
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Obsessed with culture – whether sports, gaming, fashion, or film, you're plugged in and passionate.
• Budding cultural critic who doesn't just mindlessly consume, but has opinions and isn't shy about sharing them.
• A healthy skeptic who asks a ton of questions and fact-checks all the answers.
• Creative approach to problem-solving.
• Recent graduate or rising senior seeking a degree in a relevant field, such as Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, or Business
• Strong interpersonal skills, especially in regards to collaboration and communication skills (oral and written)
• A creative, curious, and resourceful determination to understand sports, music, fashion, gaming, and entertainment
• Available for the full internship program, 40 hours per week
• Able to be in person in New York City for The Robot Company's working office days (two days per week)
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S., required on the first day of employment
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous internship or experience in similar creative marketing functions
• 1-2 years of directly relevant educational experience
• Experience with social listening and data analysis
