This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not for profit 501 (c)(3) whose mission is to present a variety of performing arts to the community and the surrounding area that they can enjoy and experience at a varied price point. The Playhouse presents national and local acts and is the cultural hub for the town of Ridgefield.

As an intern at the Ridgefield Playhouse you will get an opportunity to learn and develop your skills. You will also gain a firm understanding of the various marking styles used and the skills needed to successfully market shows and performances through first hand experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Promoting shows through poster runs, creating event pages on varies websites, facebook, reverbnation, etc., posting to yahoo groups .
• Gathering contact information
• Putting together spreadsheets
• Coming up with creative ways to promote or market shows
• Making and answering phone calls if needed
• Helping set up shows
• Helping out wherever is needed

Desired Skills:
• Available to start ASAP
• Good communication skills
• A basic understanding of computers and microsoft programs (word, excel, etc.)
• Good research skills
• A can-do attitude
