Are you an employer?
How do I hire a Key Art Finisher Intern? The Refinery is an award-winning entertainment advertising agency located in Sherman Oaks. We work with all of the major studios producing creative print, A/V and digital campaigns for theatrical and television/streaming properties.
Our employees truly enjoy their 'second family' of co-workers here and we don't attract or retain divas or screamers. We love working collaboratively, unless we're competing in our annual Halloween costume contest!
Our partners are available and approachable, and our office culture is casual and homey. We are dog-friendly, sponsor onsite massages weekly, have free catered meals, a fully stocked kitchen, and heels and neckties are rarely worn (unless you're into either/both).
Do you have a passion to push pixels to enhance photography?
Are you obsessed with details, organization, and the quest for perfection in all things design?
Are you a Photoshop wiz?
If you answered YES to these questions and have a portfolio of which shows off your skills, we would like to hear from you!
Specific qualifications include:
Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or Photography
Minimum intermediate Photoshop skills
Less than 2 years experience in a similar position, and significant bonus points for hands-on entertainment industry work
This is a 3-month full time paid internship opportunity where you'll learn the many stages that go into perfecting a movie poster and gain hands-on experience working alongside our creative staff to conceptualize and create key art for theatrical, broadcast, streaming, home entertainment, and/or gaming projects.
In this role, you will be paired with a mentor to learn the tricks of the trade, expand your Photoshop knowledge, and work on live projects.
We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with Criminal Histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance.
