The Oklahoma City Thunder is seeking an organized person with a passion for customer service and administrative support! As a Guest Relations Assistant, you will be responsible for building a welcoming environment as the first impression for Guests who visit our Thunder Corporate Office. Your responsibilities will include managing incoming calls, greeting Guests, supporting staff, and ensuring smooth daily operations of the office.
In this role you will:
• Handle incoming phone calls and greet office Guests, directing them to the appropriate individuals while answering inquiries with accurate information
• Manage and respond to incoming messages via our live chat and Fan Assist, our real-time digital assistant that helps fans with a variety of inquiries, daily and on Thunder game nights
• Welcome approved vendors and manage deliveries, ensuring they are directed appropriately within the office
• Respond to fan pack requests and handle their distribution
• Provide administrative and logistical support to the Guest Relations department
• Support Thunder staff with office needs and general inquiries
• Assist visitors with the pickup of tickets and other items left for them by Thunder employees
• Help manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
• Work occasional game nights as scheduled
• Assist with maintaining, organizing, and restocking lobby common space
• Update the Thunder voicemail as needed
• Cover breaks for the ground floor lobby security desk
• Perform other duties as assigned
What you'll bring to the role:
• Minimum one year of reception/office management experience preferred
• Excellent Guest service skills and phone presence
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Note taking experience and keyboarding skills
• Attention to detail and a proven ability to complete projects with exceptional results
• Ablility to handle concerns or complaints in an efficient manner while maintaining a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Collaborative by nature with strong relationship-building talents, listening skills, and the desire to contribute to team conversations
• Bi-lingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus
Additional details:
This is a full-time, entry level position, reporting to the Manager, Guest Relations. Work schedule will be Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m. with some evening or weekend shifts during games. Primary work location is Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. Employees are encouraged to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
