Experienced Junior Agent or talent agency First Assistant needed for a prestigious New York boutique talent agency.
This position will put the right candidate on the fast track to becoming a Junior Agent or help an experienced Junior Agent become a Full agent.
Previous agency experience and bachelor's degree required.
We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated, dedicated and eager individual.
This is a fast-paced environment, so candidate should be able to maintain a calm, professional manner while juggling multiple tasks at once. Candidate should be comfortable working on theatre, film and television projects. The ideal individual will possess exemplary written and oral communication skills, excellent phone manner, and an upbeat ''go getter'' personality. As a requirement, we need applicants to have an extensive background/knowledge and passion for Television.
Candidates must be motivated, extremely detail oriented, have excellent communication and organizational skills, and should have a working knowledge of New York Theater and its denizens. This is not a 9 to 5 gig! This position, like any talent agency job includes mandatory attendance at events, both performances and for the purpose of networking plus staying on top of your projects in the evenings and weekends if need be. This is a very demanding environment with excellent opportunities for growth. This is a career and in turn, it is exciting every minute of every day.
Responsibilities for First Assistant applicants. List of responsibilities different for candidates applying for junior agent position.
- Answering phone calls (including putting out auditions accurately and corresponding with casting and clients)
- Track client auditions
- Interaction with managers, casting directors and actors via phone, email and in person.
- Ability to handle a high volume of transactions
- Handle pressure in a professional manner
- Excellent problem solver
- Ability to make sound decisions quickly; use practical approaches
-Submitting actors to casting directors
-Sending audition notifications to actors
-Collaborating with both actors and casting offices on scheduling
-Recording and organizing contacts, schedules, appointments, and bookings
-Providing input on clients
-Researching industry trends
-Preparing pitches for casting/production offices
-Administrative duties
-General office organization
-Proficiency with Google.
- Prior talent agency experience mandatory
