This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for a wide variety of financial and accounting duties, including assisting in the execution of the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable processes and daily reconciliations. This position will also assist in the preparation of a variety of internal and external reporting.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Assist in daily and weekly Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
• Participate in the quarterly close process.
• Prepare analysis of various general ledger accounts, explaining changes in business conditions.
• Maintain schedules and supporting documentation related to various revenue and expenses, including team travel and sponsorship.
• Review and record daily bank transactions and report any discrepancies.
• Maintain accounting records for all work completed in an orderly, functional manner.
• Participate in the preparation and timely delivery of accurate, high quality internal and external financial reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty at a high level on a consistent basis. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required that are critical to successful job performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Strong accounting and Microsoft Excel skills as well as a strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Detail and deadline oriented.
• Solid interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to effectively and professionally communicate with all departments and all levels of personnel.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Ability and willingness to work non-standard hours, including weekend and evening work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Outlook, etc.
