Bat Boy - Visiting Clubhouse

This is a Full Time Job

Job Purpose:
To assist Visiting Clubhouse staff with pre-game preparation, serve the function of bat boy during home games, and perform assorted duties postgame.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist in unpacking visiting team equipment prior to each home series.
• Set up dugout and bullpen before each game.
• Run baseballs to the umpire during the game.
• Collect bats in between batters.
• Collect balls during batting practice.
• Help around the clubhouse when requested.

Experience, Education and Licensure:
• Must be a minimum age of 18.
• Must present self in a professional manner to interact with fans of all ages, sponsors, and game day guests.

Requirements:
• Be available to work all game times.
• Be able to work the entirety of any game, no matter the length.
• Help load and unload equipment truck for departures and arrivals.

Work Environment:
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment; however employee may have ''game day'' responsibilities where the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
• Hours include nights, weekends and holidays.

Expectations:
• Adhere to Philadelphia Phillies Organization Policies and Procedures.
• Act as a role model within and outside the Philadelphia Phillies Organization.
• Perform duties as workload necessitates.
• Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload.
• Meet department productivity standards.
